A beautiful painted antique French armoire in the Louis Philippe style. Dating from the late 1800s/early 1900s, this is an extremely elegant piece with beautiful proportions. Made of Chestnut wood, it is quite rare as armoires in this style are hard to find with mirror doors. Both mirrors are bevelled and in excellent condition. Internally the armoire is exceptionally clean and comes with the original shelves and internal locking hook. It also retains the original fully working key.
This armoire is fully knockdown. It is held together using internal screw bolts. Buyers will receive a step by step guide to help them with assembly should they need it.
Paint: Fired Earth ‘Verd Antique’ eco-friendly eggshell
Finish: Black wax/clear wax
Condition: Good. There are some small areas of cracking to the veneer. The front top strut is slightly bowed causing small gaps between it and the side piece/cornice. The left side door has dropped slightly causing a gap between it and the cornice. This is purely aesthetic and does not affect the opening and closing of the door.
