A superb coffee mill by the reowned maker Japy Freres. This dates from around 1930 and would have been made in their factory at Beaucourt, Paris. Japy Freres were well known watch and clock makers and some of their precision engineering skills can be seen in the mill wheel and the top screw, which can be adjusted to change the final coffee grain size. Made of a lovely honey coloured wood, this mill has  a green metal top and is in full working order. It has been gently cleaned to reveal the beautiful patena aquired from over a century of use. It is clean and ready to use.
