An exceptional authentic French antique armoire/vitrine. Made of sturdy oak, this is a lovingly cared for piece which dates from the mid to late 1800s. With partially glazed doors, it would originally have been used in a dining room or kitchen setting to store china and glasses. Externally the wood is in lovely condition, with a beautiful warm patina. The doors feature stunning large brass escutcheons, decorative brass pins and hinges. Internally the armoire is lined with pretty toile de Jouy paper and comes with the original thick oak shelves. The armoire also retains the original internal locking hook and a fully working key.
This armoire is fully knockdown, dissembling into manageable pieces for ease of transport. Being an older armoire it is held together with wooden dowel pegs. It will require 2 people to assemble. Buyers will receive a step by step guide to help them.
