An elegant French armoire in exceptional condition. Made of oak, this is a quality piece which dates from around 1910. It is beautifully made with with heavy carved doors and a robust cornice. It is quite an unusual style and possibly was a bespoke piece made to order. It has a very commanding presence and comes with its own history, there are number of labels still attached inside for a depository in Wokingham, dating from 1940. It seems likely the armoire was stored there during the war. Internally it is very clean and offers exceptional storage, with a large shelf and recently fitted hanging rail. Externally, the armoire has been sympathetically painted and waxed to enhance the detailing.
This armoire is fully knockdown, dissembling into manageable pieces for ease of transport. Buyers will receive a step by step guide to help them with assembly.
